Yakov Prager

Yakov holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics with extensive math and physics teaching experience and background in computer science. Yakov's expertise includes:

  • Advanced Physics Knowledge: Extensive experience in theoretical research in the areas of quantum field theory and solid state physics; proficiency in classical and quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, and more
  • Mathematics Proficiency: Command of mathematics necessary for theoretical physics research, including calculus, real and complex analysis, ordinary and partial differential equations, group theory, etc.
  • Test Preparation: Preparing students for math and physics portions of standardized tests, including the SAT, ACT, APs, and other important assessments.
  • Participation in the organizing committee of the math and physics competition for college students.
  • Mentoring a regional team at the Young Physicists Tournament in Moscow and Israel: My student became the winner of the all-Israeli physics olympiad; and so on
